The classic shirt with frill detailing around the collar and front placket and end of the cuffs. The shirt is made from silk/cotton and is hand blockprinted in soft teal, white and khaki brown exclusively for Bolam. The shirt has five shell buttons down the front and one shell button with a loop fastening on the cuff. Dark teal blue stitching on the buttonholes and buttons. Soft gathers in the middle of the back. The fit is straight and boxy. The frill down the front opening and around the collar is just over 1inch deep, on the end of the cuffs the frill is 1.5ins deep. The shirt has 5.5ins deep splits each side and is a straight cut. The shirt is a little sheer.

The shirt can be gently cold washed, hang to dry. Seen here accessorised by a pair of black velvet Bolam trousers, a Maison Bengal basket and a Hambro and Miller hand knit fair isle tank top.

Model Matilda is 5ft 8ins, a size 8 with a full bust. She wears a size XS shirt. Easy fitting.

I love this new take on our Bolam classic shirt, also to be found in the long back style. The frills add a subtly feminine look to the shirt, looks lovely dressed up or down with the frills showing under a sweater, being layered or wear alone with our velvet trousers and a jacket for an understated evening look.
